About Me

Hi, I’m Lora and welcome to Meadowlark Violin Studio! I perform and teach violin lessons in central Oklahoma. Music is my passion and I hope I can help you along your musical journey.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the University of Alabama. I then went on to get my Master of Arts in String Pedagogy from the University of South Carolina.

While in South Carolina, I was part of the USC String Project teaching orchestra, group classes, and private lessons.  I’ve also been a member of several orchestras including the Huxford Symphony Orchestra, the USC Symphony Orchestra, Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, Meridian Symphony Orchestra, and the Shoals Symphony Orchestra and attended music festivals across the country including the Castleman Quartet Program, Madeline Island Music Festival, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, and Kinhaven Music Festival.

In addition to music, I love home-roasted coffee, quilting, writing, flying, and anything with wings—that includes birds, chickens, and airplanes!
